PARCO ARCHEOLOGICO DI BARATTI E POPULONIA

The park stretches between the slopes of the cape of Piombino and the Gulf of Baratti, where the Etruscan and Roman city of Populonia stood. Here, it is possible to discover the Roman city, built in the second century BC. The Etruscan acropolis of the IX-VIII century B.C. and the necropolis is connected by a network of paths that descend from the cape to the bay of the gulf.
